A 13-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl have been arrested after allegedly making bomb threats to two different schools in Alexandria, according to police.

Police say the boy was responsible for a social media bomb threat made against Francis Hammond Middle School that led to the school being evacuated Thursday.

The girl has been charged after making a threat on social media threatening to bomb George Washington Middle School, according to police.
