Police searching for PG County man they say is non-verbal and suffers from dementia
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (ABC7) —
Police are searching for a 65-year-old man they say is non-verbal and suffers from dementia who went missing Tuesday in Beltsville.
Prince George's County Police say that Daniel DeHaven, the brother of a retired Montgomery County firefighter, was last seen in the 10900 block of Baltimore Avenue on a security camera at around 11:30 a.m. Police describe the case as critical and say they are using "around-the-clock manpower" to find DeHaven, especially given the freezing cold conditions.
Police say DeHaven's brother is "extremely concerned" for his welfare.
Police describe DeHaven as standing 5'9" and weighing 175 pounds with partly gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black coat with blue jeans and a gray hat.
Authorities say they searched for him through the night. Police say there was a report of a man fitting DeHaven's description in downtown Silver Spring but did not find him.
Anyone with information on DeHaven is asked to call police.
