The identity of the fleeing gunman that was stopped 'Rambo', the crime-fighting canine has been determined, said Prince George's County authorities.
The suspect, who has been identified as Othman Conteh, 31, was allegedly high on PCP when he shot at the police who were responding to calls of his destructive and erratic behavior
Police say Conteh threatened a police officer with a handgun, and the officer fired at him and missed. "Rambo," the police dog, chased the man and bit him on the arm, holding on until officers caught up and arrested him.
Conteh is being charged with first degree assault on a police officer, carrying a handgun, reckless endangerment and malicious destruction of property. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
