D.C. has filed a lawsuit against Options Public Charter School, a charter school created to help D.C.'s troubled teens.
Also named in the lawsuit is WUSA anchor J.C. Hayward. She was chairwoman of the school's board of trustees at the time of the alleged wrongdoings. She denied any wrongdoing on WUSA.
The lawsuit claims three former managers at the school diverted millions of dollars as part of a contracting scam, according to the Washington Post.
Options Public Charter School is a Northeast D.C. nonprofit that focuses on troubled teens and students with disabilities. D.C. gave the school millions of dollars.
