Man shot and killed in officer-involved shooting in Prince George's County

SUITLAND, Md. (WJLA) - A man was shot and killed by police in Prince George's County Friday morning.

The shooting was reported around 2:15 a.m. in the 3300 block of Curtis Drive. Prince George's County police officers were called to the scene for a fight involving two men, one of whom was armed.

Two officers confronted the men outside and spotted one of the men holding a pellet gun. The suspect was ordered to drop the gun, but disregarded the command. Both officers fired.

Police have confirmed a 20-year-old suspect was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Neither officer was injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
