WASHINGTON (WJLA) - Several children remain displaced Tuesday after a fire at a Northwest Washington home, officials say, which seriously injured a woman.
The fire broke out late Monday night at a home in the 500 block of Oneida Place NW, D.C. Fire Union officials say.
A woman inside the home suffered burn injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Six children who lived in the home were displaced.
Fire Union officials said on Twitter that it took more than 50 firefighters to knock down the flames.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
