(WJLA) - A major road through Old Town Alexandria is shut down while crews repair a water main break.
Officials say the break of a 12-inch main happened in a main near North Henry and Montgomery streets just before 10 a.m.
About 70 homes and businesses nearby could be without water for an undetermined amount of time while Virginia American Water officials repair the break.
Authorities say it may not be until 4 p.m. until the line is fully repaired. Until then, the three southbound lanes of North Henry Street are closed in the area. Montgomery Street is also closed between North Henry and North Patrick streets.
