Norman Hardy arrested in Md. school, allegedly had knives

MILLERSVILLE, Md. (AP) - Anne Arundel County police have charged a man with weapons offenses after they say he was found in a high school with three knives in his backpack.

Police and a school resource officer were told about a possible trespasser at Old Mill High School in Millersville about 8:50 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers say a man entered the school, went into a class briefly, then left. Authorities say when he was questioned in the cafeteria, he ran out of the school.

Authorities found him back inside the school, accompanied by a 14-year-old former student.

Police say a school resource officer searched the adult's backpack and found three knives, including a martial arts style weapon.

Eighteen-year-old Norman Hardy of Baltimore has been charged with weapons offenses and trespassing.
