New red light cameras added at intersections in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) - Police have added two new red light enforcement cameras at intersections in Alexandria.

ABC 7 news partner WTOP reports the cameras will capture both still images and video of red-light violations. The cameras are located at two intersections: South Patrick Street and Gibbon Street and Duke Street at South Walker Street.

Initially the cameras will issue warnings for violations through June 30. The warnings will be sent to a vehicle's registered owner. Fines will begin on July 1.
