WASHINGTON (WJLA) - The National Zoo says it's baby-proofing the panda enclosure so the cub can play and climb trees without getting into too much trouble.
The Zoo said Thursday that it's excited about the cub's milestones and that they're recording every stop of her development. Just a few days ago the cub took her first steps. And the naming ceremony is scheduled for December 1st. She also weighs over ten pounds now.
You can still vote in the Zoo's contest to name the panda cub. More than 100,000 people have already weighed in. Voters have until tomorrow to vote from five Mandarin Chinese names.
