National Weather Service issues Coastal Flood Warning for parts of DC and Virginia
WASHINGTON (ABC7) —
A Coastal Flood Warning has been issued Wednesday for parts of D.C., Arlington County and Alexandria, according to authorities.
The National Weather Service says the warning will last until 4 p.m. and will be in effect for the southwest waterfront of D.C., Arlington County and Alexandria. Officials say tides could rise as high as two to three feet higher during high tide at around noon.
The NWS says that D.C. should expect flooding at the unprotected parts of the Southwest Waterfront at the D.C. Seafood Market and Hains Point.
