Montgomery County school bus accident injures five

Five people were injured Friday morning when a school bus collided with a car in Aspen Hill, officials say.

The crash happened at about 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Heathfield Road, Montgomery County Fire and school officials say, when the bus was hit by a car.

Montgomery County Schools spokesperson Dana Tofig says the bus, which was headed for the Foundation School in Gaithersburg, had three students and a bus attendant on board. None of the students were hurt, Tofig said, but the attendant suffered undisclosed injuries.
