Montgomery Council considers changes to police bargaining process

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) - The Montgomery County Council is considering changes in the bargaining process between the county and the union that represents the police officers.

The meeting Thursday is a joint work session of the council's Public Safety and Government Operations and Fiscal Policy committees.

The council members will meet at 10 a.m. in the seventh-floor council hearing room of the council office building in Rockville.

A bill before the committee would limit the number of issues that would require union bargaining before taking effect.
