Metro union to meet with riders

Riders can meet with Metro union workers Monday night to discuss their concerns.

For the first time, Metro's largest employee union is holding a town hall meeting with riders. The focus will be on three topics: safety, customer relations as well as funding and fare issues.

On the panel will be five union officers and six Metro employees, including mechanics to answer questions about recent breakdowns on escalators and elevators.

A moderator will take questions from the audience. Metro riders can voice their concerns, from reliability and safety issues to wait times.

The open meeting comes shortly after Metro launched a new campaign to keep riders better informed on dozens of upcoming projects.
