Md. State Police arrest man on charges for possession, distribution of child pornography
CAROLINE COUNTY, Md. (ABC7) —
Police arrested a man on charges of possession and distribution of child pornography in Caroline County, Maryland on Friday.
Maryland State Police arrested Alexander Cowell, 30, of Greensboro on 20 counts of possession of child pornography and four counts of distribution of child pornography.
Police say they started investigating the case in March after the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force learned that someone was actively downloading child porn from the internet.
A police investigation led to Cowell's home. Police got a warrant to search the residence and say they found video files of child pornography on Cowell's computer. He was arrested without incident.
Cowell is awaiting an appointment with a Caroline County Court Commissioner.
