Maryland's annual shop tax-free week runs August 10-16

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJLA) - Shop Maryland tax-free Week begins Sunday.

Each year the break for consumers, especially parents preparing for back to school, runs from the second Sunday in August to the following Saturday. This year it’s August 10-August 16.

During the week, qualifying apparel and footwear that cost $100 or less, per item, are exempt from the state sales tax.
