(WJLA) - An argument over a jukebox led to two stabbings in Annapolis early Thursday, police say.
According to authorities, Martin Marroquin Rodriguez and the victim began arguing over music playing on the jukebox at a restaurant in the 1300 block of Forest Drive. When the victim was walking home he was approached by Marroquin Rodriguez, who gave him a hug before stabbing him in the stomach.
The victim's friend was stabbed by a second suspect, Demesio Portillo Lopez.
The first victim was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma for emergency surgery. The second victim refused treatment.
Marroquin Rodriguez is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment. He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.
Portillo Lopez is charged with first and second-degree assault. He is being held on a $50,000 bond.
