Marc weekend service between Baltimore and D.C. begins Saturday
MARC will begin operating train service between Baltimore and Washington on Weekends starting this Saturday, according to a Washington Post report.
The Maryland commuter trains will run nine round trips on Saturdays and six on Sundays, offering weekend rail service to Baltimore-Washington International Airport that previously was only available on more expensive Amtrak. A one way MARC ticket runs customers $7, less than half of even the least expensive Amtrak ticket.
“This is something our customers have been clamoring for,” Maryland Transit Administration head Robert Smith said to the Post.
