A suspect who was wanted in Arlington County was arrested Wednesday after a police chase that started in western Loudoun County and ended in with a three-car crash in West Virginia, police say.
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office says that a deputy tried to pull a car over on westbound Route 9 near the town of Hillsboro when the suspect took off. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office took over the pursuit when the suspect crossed the border into West Virginia.
After about a mile, the Jefferson County deputy found the vehicle, later determined to be stolen, involved in a three-car crash. The suspect was apprehended at the scene.
The suspect, who was wanted in Arlington County on a property crime charge, was airlifted to INOVA Fairfax Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Three other people who were injured in the crash were also transported to local hospitals.
Further charges out of Loudoun County are pending.
