Man stabbed at Ballston Metro Station

BALLSTON, Va. (WJLA) - Metro Transit police and Arlington County police are investigating a stabbing at Ballston Metro Station Sunday night.

A man was stabbed in the bicep and abdomen areas around 8:40 p.m. on the eastbound platform of the station headed toward Washington, D.C., according to a WMATA spokesperson.

The station manager at Ballston came to the man's aide and applied pressure on his wounds until paramedics arrived, police said. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said they currently have two adult male suspects in custody. The motive for the stabbing is unknown.
