Man seriously burned in D.C. fire, child found safe
A man has been seriously burned in a house fire in Northeast Washington.
A neighbor, Guy Hill, said that he ran into the house because kids are usually playing there and he was afraid one might be inside.
But the fear that a child was trapped inside turned out to be not true, officials say. A 5-year-old child was evaluated as a precaution.
The fire was in the 300 block of 15th Street, in Northeast, and it spread to a second home.
Fire officials say about ten people have been displaced.
The fire victim is reportedly in stable condition.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
