ROCKVILLE, Md. (WJLA) - A man received a 25-year prison sentence Monday in the vicious beating of another man in a Bethesda parking garage attack that was caught on camera.

In handing down the sentence for attempted second-degree murder, a Montgomery County Circuit Court judge said Niccolo Manzanero, 33, of Burtonsville, showed absolutely no regard for human life and was clearly a danger to the community.

Manzanero could be seen on cell phone video repeatedly stomping on a 33-year-old Rockville man's head after other attackers had beaten him in the garage on St. Elmo Avenue back in the early morning hours of April 6, 2013.

Witnesses said even once the victim was unconscious, Manzanero kept kicking him before eventually leaving the man for dead.

“The brutality of this case sets it apart from others, as Manzanero repeatedly stomped on the victim’s head after the fight was over,” said a press release from the county State’s Attorney Office after Manzanero was convicted in May.

Authorities credited the actions of a Good Samaritan passerby, Dylan Rawls, with saving the man's life when he stepped in to stop the beating.

While the victim "miraculously" survived, authorities said he suffered severe head injuries and skull damage.
