Police arrested two men in connection with a Bowie homicide.
The two suspects posed as utility workers, police said.
Prince George's County Police Spokesperson Cpl. Erica Johnson says officers were dispatched at about 12:45 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a shooting in the 13200 block of Livingstone Endeavor Drive in Bowie.
Police found the 44-year-old man suffering from trauma to his body and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the suspects may have gained entry through a garage door.
Two men were found outside the house and are being questioned by police.
Prince George’s County police identified the victim as David Wayne Williams.
Police arrested John Fitzgerald Haston 46, of Clinton, Md. and Craig Stevens Brooks, 49, District Heights, Md. They are being charged with first degree murder and armed robbery.
Prince George’s County police said the motive behind the homicide was robbery.

“The safety of our customers and their families is paramount. If a Pepco employee comes to your door, ask them for identification; if they don’t have it, call the police. Do not let them enter. If you have any suspicions whatsoever, do not open your door and immediately call the police,” said Graham.
Many companies and individuals, including Pepco, will contact customers in person or on the phone for various business reasons. If someone claims to represent a company, whether the company is Pepco or another entity, it is important that customers take precautions to verify that the person is affiliated with the company.
Customers are advised to ask for official photo identification from any person claiming to represent Pepco. Employees from reputable companies, such as Pepco, will carry official company identification cards.
