Male hit and killed by Amtrak train in Anne Arundel County, Md., officials say
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (ABC7) —
A male was struck and killed by an Amtrak train Wednesday morning in Odenton, officials say.
Amtrak says the incident happened in the 1400 block of Odenton Road at around 7:14 a.m. when train 2154 hit a person on the tracks south of BWI with 170 passengers on board.
Authorities later found the male dead. No one on the train was injured, according to Amtrak.
All Penn Line service had been suspended because of the incident. Two of the three tracks in the are have since been reopened. Metro will be honoring Marc tickets because of the suspension.
The Odenton MARC Train Station has since reopened.
