'Make America Kind Again' hand out thousands of marijuana joints to push weed legalization
WASHINGTON (WJLA) - The 'Make America Kind Again' movement was handing out over 8,000 marijuana joints Friday morning in Dupont Circle in an effort to rally for legalized marijuana nationwide.
A local group called DCMJ, which stands for DC Marijuana Justice, passed out free joints to anyone over the age of 21 with an ID.
"Oh yeah, there's 10,000 people who showed up for free marijuana today, so it's really busy," the founder of DCMJ said. "The goal is really to get Donald Trump talking about marijuana, to show the tremendous support. To show that you can have Trump supporters and non-Trump supporters together in unity."
A march is also planned to start four minutes and twenty seconds into Donald Trump's administration. Organizers encourage protesters to smoke the joints they passed out at this time, rather at home or at the march on the Mall as an act of civil disobedience.
