Lyons Jewelers in Bedford closes to protest Barack Obama's election victory
Mitt Romney's loss to President Barack Obama in Tuesday's presidential election was apparently too much for a western Virginia jewelry store.
According to WDBJ-TV in Bedford, Lyons Jewelers, a jewelry shop on Longwood Avenue in Bedford, kept its doors closed Wednesday. The owners did it as a political statement; to "mourn the loss of America."
Signs posted in windows throughout Lyons bemoaned Obama's victory.
"He (did) it to show that he didn't agree and didn't like what happened," a friend of the store's owner told WDBJ.
