Linthicum teen accused of stabbing family dog to death

A Linthicum, Md. teen is accused of stabbing his family's dog to death.

Anne Arundel County police found the boy, 14, sitting on his bed with the bloodied 10-week-old St. Bernard Wednesday afternoon. The dog had been stabbed in the throat and stomach. At the foot of the bed police found a kitchen knife covered in blood.

There were no prior animal control reports or problems with the puppy.

The boy was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. He was charged with animal cruelty and is in his father's custody.
