(WJLA) - The man authorities say stole a gun from a security officer at a Laurel supermarket and fired shots inside before fleeing has been caught and arrested.
Sean Crighton Macattram, 31, is being held on $50,000 bond after being taken into custody Sunday, nearly a week after the incident inside the Weis market on Corridor Market Place happened.
On Dec. 8, Macattram was caught allegedly shoplifting from the market, officials say. An altercation ensued when he was confronted, which led to the suspect getting a hold of the guard's semi-automatic handgun.
Macattram then fired off several rounds inside the store before getting away. No one was injured.
Laurel City Police officers took Macattram into custody just before 6:45 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Washington Boulevard.
