      Customers served by{}The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission in Largo are encouraged to boil their water following a water main break this morning.{}The commission says the advisory will remain in effect for 36 to 48 hours after service is restored.

      Nearly 600 Largo homes are without water this Thanksgiving because of{}the water main break.

      The decades-old 16-inch line broke just before 5 a.m. leaving nearly 600 homes dry on a day when many need water to get the turkey and all the trimmings to the table.{}

      "It's a huge inconvenience," says Carrie Johnson. "Now we're going to have to try to have our Thanksgiving meal someplace else."

      Many residents tell ABC7 the main had been leaking for a while and crews had been out before to work on it.

      Crews expect some full regular service to be restored sometimes this evening.
