Sunday marked 30 years to the day since a Prince George's County woman vanished, and at a vigil her family called for whoever knows what happened to finally break their silence.
Members of the Maryland Missing Persons Network organized a vigil Sunday evening outside the courthouse on Main Street in Upper Marlboro.
Kim Mileo was last seen alive on June 9th, 1983.
According to a national missing persons database, Mileo had been arguing with her boyfriend that day, but a friend said the arguments were not serious.
Mileo, who lived in Largo, had gone to the boyfriend's house in the rural Croom area of Prince George's County on the night of June 8th.
The boyfriend and his father said Mileo left the home early in the morning of June 9th. After that she vanished.
The boyfriend's brother and a friend found Mileo's 1972 Chevrolet Vega two days later in the 16300 block of Croom Road.
