Kashif Bashir indicted on multiple counts in Peter Laboy shooting
The man accused of shooting Alexandria Police Officer Peter Laboy has been indicted on multiple charges Monday.
A grand jury indicted Kashif Bashir, 27, on charges of aggravated malicious wounding, attempted capital murder of a law enforcement officer and two counts of using a firearm during a felony.
Bashir is accused of shooting Laboy on Feb. 27 while Laboy was on duty in Old Town. Despite the catastrophic injury he suffered, Laboy survived and is currently walking and speaking.
