A Redskins wide receiver is making sure students at a D.C. middle school keep themselves healthy both physically and mentally.
Standing in the gym of his old stomping grounds, Redskins wide receiver Josh Morgan is trying to keep kids fit.
Morgan, a D.C. native returned to Eliot-Hine Middle School Tuesday morning to talk about the game plan that helped him reach success.
“I’m here trying to preach it to them,” Morgan says. “When I was their age, I wish we had somebody to look up to.”
Morgan, who's in his fifth season with the NFL, told the kids it’s all about focusing on success. That's what Morgan says he is looking towards in this week’s game after earning an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty at the end of Sundays game against the Rams.
“You gotta deal with it and you wish you wouldn’t have done it, but move forward, look forward,” he says. “Same thing I just old these kids.”
