Jason Wade sentenced to 40 months in 12th Street patio robbery

(WJLA) - The man who was caught on camera casually strolling up to a pair of men on a Northwest Washington restaurant patio and robbing will spend the next 40 months in prison.

James E. Wade, who pleaded guilty to the May 17 robbery at Pizzoli's on 12th Street Northwest, was sentenced Thursday to more than three years in prison, with five more years of supervised released.

Video surveillance of the incident showed Wade pull a gun on the two men before getting away with their cash, wallets and cell phones.

He was arrested about three weeks later.
