CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) - Authorities in Maryland say an inmate has died at a prison in Cumberland and a second inmate is a suspect.

The Maryland State Police say an inmate at the Western Correctional Institution was found unconscious in his cell Friday shortly after 9:30 p.m. during the inmates' recreation period.

Officers attempted to revive the inmate but were unsuccessful. The inmate was identified as 29-year-old Jason T. Wallace, and The Maryland State Police said in a statement he was serving time for robbery charges.

The Maryland State Police says another inmate has been identified as a suspect but did not name him. Troopers say no charges have been filed at this time and they did not know Wallace's specific cause of death. An autopsy is planned.
