Ice goes airborne shattering windshield on driver's car

A driver's windshield was smashed by a piece of ice that flew off of another vehicle Thursday in Prince George's County, Maryland.

Andrea Watkins tells ABC7 News the incident happened as she was driving along the innerloop near 202 in P.G. County. Watkins was not injured.

Maryland State Police say three different drivers in the state suffered eye injuries when hit with flying ice on Wednesday.

Although it's not required by law, police encourage drivers to remove snow and ice from their cars.
