Ice cream truck carjacked in D.C.

WASHINGTON (AP) - D.C. police say a masked man carjacked an ice cream truck with two people inside.

Lt. Raul Figueras tells The Washington Post that the truck was seized around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1400 block of Cedar Street southeast, next to the Frederick Douglass Historic Site in the Anacostia area. He says the truck was found about a block away.

Figueras says the carjacker was armed with a handgun and money and cellphones were taken from the truck.
