      Georgetown Waterfront stabbing: Car service driver arrested in Northwest

      A driver for a car service was arrested Sunday night by Secret Service officers after he allegedly stabbed two people near Georgetown's Waterfront, officials say.

      The stabbing happened at about 7:30 p.m. near the corner of K Street and Thomas Jefferson Street Northwest, according to authorities. The driver, Yohannes Deresse, has been charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

      It's not clear what prompted the stabbing or what condition the victims are in.
