Geordan Glasgow Harris killed in motorcycle crash

A Northwest Washington man was killed when he crashed his motorcycle in front of the National Cathedral Monday morning.

Police say Geordan Glasgow Harris, 28, was on a Kawasaki Ninja in the northbound left lane of Wisconsin Avenue NW when he struck a southbound UPS truck turning left into the Cathedral.

After striking the UPS truck, Harris' motorcycle slid northbound and hit a Chevrolet Avalanche, which was stopped in the left southbound lane.

Harris was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
