D.C.Police Chief Cathy Lanier says there were three students on board a school bus when the driver was arrested for a DUI earlier this month. The case involves Fritz Gerald Aubin, a special needs school bus driver for D.C. Public Schools.
The incident happened on October 7th at about 8:30 a.m. near a gas station on Ninth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue in Southeast. Plainclothes D.C. police officers became suspicious of Aubin after it appeared his bus ran out of gas.
According to Lanier, Aubin has been charged and arraigned on both Driving Under the Influence and OWI – Operating a vehicle While Impaired.
