Frank Kohler, 50, was known as a hard-worker and a respected leader, the Washington Post reports.
The Pennsylvania native was a computer science major at Slippery Rock University and worked as a contract computer systems specialist at the Navy Yard.
He was one of the 12 victims killed in Monday’s mass shooting.
Kohler was known as a generous friend who once served as the president of the Rotary Club of Lexington Park, where he spearheaded an effort to donate a dictionary to all 3rd graders in St. Mary’s County, the Post reports.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
