Fort Meade alleged child sex abuse investigated

      Fort Meade officials say the{}FBI is investigating an alleged incident of child sex abuse involving a former civilian employee of the Fort Meade Youth Center.{}

      The allegations were reported to police and the suspect has been banned from Fort Meade.{}

      The FBI will lead the investigation since the allegations involve a federal facility.

      The Secretary of the Army has ordered a review of all youth programs.

      The suspect has not been identified.

      "We have established a 24-hour Family Assistance Call Center for parents, who may call 866-454-9414 with any questions they may have about the Fort Meade Youth Center," said Col. Brian P. Foley, Fort Meade Garrison Commander.
