Fire Officials: 'Extreme hoarding conditions' make putting out DC house fire difficult
WASHINGTON (ABC7) —
D.C. firefighters had a difficult afternoon Monday battling a raging house fire on V Street, SE and officials say an "extreme hoarding condition" was to blame for the hindrance.
"Extreme hoarding conditions made access & firefighting difficult," D.C. Fire stated in a Tweet.
Fortunately, there were no injuries sustained during the fire and a resident in the home was able to escape safely, officials reported.
Authorities have not released the cause of the fire at this time.
This is a developing story and will be updated as details become available.
