FREDERICK, Md. (WJLA) - FBI field offices in the D.C. area are holding "complex attack training" sessions this month. Tuesday, a session beginning at 7:30 a.m. will take place at the old Frederick Towne Mall, 1301 W. Patrick Street in Frederick.

"This is part of a partnership with the Department of Homeland Security and local law enforcement to test readiness for a large-scale terrorist attack at a public venue," said FBI spokesperson Amy Thoreson.

Thoreson said each FBI field office in the D.C. area plans to hold such a training session, including the D.C. office, which held one this past Friday.

Thoreson said commuters in the Frederick area may notice law enforcement activity Tuesday morning through the noon hour.
