Eric Toth charged with child pornography, misuse of Social Security, identity theft

A former teacher at the prestigious Beauvoir School at the National Cathedral was charged on Thursday with three counts of production of child pornography, one count of misuse of a Social Security number, and one count of identity theft.

Eric Toth, 31, was taken into custody in April 2013 after he was caught in 2008 in a third grade classroom with child pornography on his camera. He has remained detained since.

The former educator was placed on the FBI's top ten "Most Wanted" list for allegedly possessing and producing child pornography in the District area.{ }

The charges were filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and an official court date has not yet been set.

The charge of child pornography carries a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years in prison and a maximum of 30 years. Misuse of a Social Security number and identity theft each carry a maximum of five years.
