Eric Somuah found dead in Silver Spring

Eric Somuah was 34-years-old and by all accounts living a full and successful life. He has just started a fledgling home health care business and he was the number one salesman at Manhattan Jaguar and Range Rover in Bethesda. Sales manager Bill Armstrong says he'd known Somuah for 18 years.

“Just a big family guy and he really took care of his customers and he was genuine quality person and I've known him for a long time and I really value his friendship,” Armstrong says.

That's why when he didn't show up for work Monday, Armstrong grew worried. So did Somuah's family. Wednesday afternoon when police responding to their frantic calls checked Somuah's locked apartment their worst fears were realized.

The man known for his big smile and sensitive nature was found shot to death in his place on the sixth floor of this luxury building in Silver Spring. His neighbors say they're stunned.

Police are asking for the public's help Thursday. They believe somebody has the information they need to find Somuah's killer. His friends and co-workers say they too need answers.

“It’s been a lot of tears and a lot of reflecting and its very emotional and, we're gonna miss him tremendously,” Armstrong said.
