Elizabeth Lindenau indicted on 69 counts of animal cruelty

COLUMBIA, Md. (AP) - A Columbia woman has been indicted on 69 counts of animal cruelty charges after 40 dead animals were found in a town house in January.

Forty-year-old Elizabeth Lindenau was arrested Thursday night after the indictment was returned Wednesday. It was not known if she has a lawyer.

Authorities went to a town house on Jan. 16 after a property manager complained about an odor, and found dead birds, cats and rabbits.
