(WJLA) - D.C. police are on the hunt for whoever stole a set of ivory elephant tusks from the Wilson Building in August.

The tusks were a gift from Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie I in 1954. Police say they were stolen sometime between Aug. 12 and Aug. 27.

A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information should call police.
