Prince George's County Police handed out flyers in a Riverdale neighborhood Saturday evening, as they search for the man accused of sexually assaulting an elderly woman after breaking into her home.
The woman told officers that she heard someone in her house in the 6100 block of 63rd Avenue Friday night.
When she went to check on the noise, the suspect grabbed her and sexually assaulted her, then ran off.
Officers conducted an extensive neighborhood search when they responded to the initial call. A K9 team also tried to track the suspect.
"All sexual assaults are troubling, but for a man to target such a vulnerable member of our community is egregious," said Chief Mark Magaw. "Our detectives are committed to finding and arresting this suspect."
