A longtime Fairfax County swim instructor was arrested Monday on allegations that he inappropriately touched a 7-year-old girl several times.
Fairfax County Police say that the young girl whom they say 23-year-old Eduardo Requejo assaulted was not one of his students; rather, she was a family acquaintance. Authorities say they received a complaint from the victim's mother on July 3 that Requejo had touched the girl.
Requejo has been charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery. He turned himself into police and is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
The suspect has served as a swim instructor at the Oak Marr Recreation Center in Fairfax for eight years.
