Edgewood community holds candlelight vigil after shooting that left 3 dead

Edgewood community holds candlelight vigil after shooting that left 3 dead (ABC7)

Pastors, grief counselors, neighbors and others bowed their heads on Wednesday night.

The vigil came hours after police say Radee Prince shot five of his co-workers, killing three at the kitchen countertop company Advanced Granite Solutions.

“It is devastating,” said Manager of Advanced Granite Solutions Ibrahim Kucuk. “They were all family, we’ve been working together for a long time. It’s just tragic.”

“This is something that those that survived will probably have a hard time dealing with,” said neighbor Mary Shuey.

Shuey lives about five minutes from the scene of the shooting.

Like many, she is puzzled by the suspect’s motive.

“I can’t wrap my head around what was bothering him so bad... inside of three months, that he would go in after innocent people,” said Shuey. “People deserve to know that he is off the street.”

In the days ahead, community leaders say they will do everything they can to provide continuous support to those who are grieving.
